In a world of constant evolution where technology progresses at a dizzying pace, it is sometimes comforting to see that some things remain unchanged. Cintropur filters, developed 10, 20, 30, or even 50 years ago for the very first models, are a poignant example of this.

Despite the advancement of lightweight materials and engineering innovations, our filters retain their longevity and reliability, thus advocating for robustness in an ever-changing landscape.

We, as Belgian manufacturer, take pride in maintaining the tradition of these plastic filters that have proven themselves over the decades. Unlike the general trend of reducing the amount of material used in production, we have not succumbed to this pressure. Our filters remain true to their original design, with an unchanged plastic surface and openings that have stood the test of time.

Why no electronics?

Some might wonder why we haven’t automated our filters with control valves or self-regulators to cope with pressure fluctuations. The answer is simple: because our filters simply don’t need it. Their robust design and quality ensure a consistent lifespan, eliminating the need for costly and complex technologies to maintain their performance.

Indeed, our filters still have the same lifespan, low maintenance costs, and the same robustness as they did when first created. This consistency in quality is a testament to the trust our customers have in knowing they can rely on our products year after year, almost 50 years now!

Keeping an eye open and sleeping soundly

However, this doesn’t mean that users can sleep soundly without worrying about maintenance. Since the beginning, we have included essential information in our user manuals regarding the replacement schedules for screens, activated carbon, and UV lamps. This recommendation aims to ensure optimal water treatment, taking into account the natural wear and tear of these consumables over time.

Predictive maintenance and monitoring remain essential practices to ensure the proper functioning of our filters and any water filtration system. While our products are robust, they are not immune to normal wear and tear. Therefore, it is imperative that users continue to regularly monitor their filters and follow our recommendations for replacing the necessary components, which have been in stock since their inception.

Conclusion of 50 years of existence

Our advocacy for the robustness of Cintropur filters and sterilizers, as well as Cintroclear water purifiers, predictive maintenance, and monitoring, serves as a reminder that the reliability of quality products endures over time. Our filters, unchanged for decades, continue to deliver consistent performance, and while users can have confidence in their longevity, it is essential to remain vigilant about maintenance to ensure optimal water treatment.

Here are some essential reasons why it is advisable to install a filter with various fineness sleeves and a propeller upstream of your water softener:

Protection against coarse contaminants:

Filters like those from Cintropur are designed to remove solid particles and sediments present in the water. These contaminants, such as sand, mud, rust, and debris, can clog the components of the water softener, reducing its efficiency and potentially causing breakdowns. The pre-filter ahead captures these impurities, thus safeguarding the water softener from damage and extending its lifespan.

Improved efficiency of the water softener:

When the water entering the water softener is clean and free of solid particles, the water softener can operate more efficiently. Water softeners primarily remove calcium and magnesium ions responsible for water hardness. By eliminating upstream sediments and impurities, the pre-filter allows the water softener to focus on its primary task, which is reducing water hardness.

Enhanced water quality:

A pre-filter can also contribute to improving the water quality at the outlet of the water softener. By removing impurities and contaminants present in raw water, the filter helps produce cleaner and purer softened water, which is particularly important for uses such as drinking water and protecting household appliances.

Reduced maintenance:

By preventing sediments and particles from entering the water softener, you reduce the need for frequent cleaning and maintenance of the water softener. This can save you time and money in the long run. Cintropur fine screens are much cheaper than traditional cartridges. The sleeves of 150 and 300 µm are washable!

In conclusion, installing a filter upstream of your water softener is a smart measure to ensure better water quality, protect your water softener from potential damage, and improve its efficiency. It also contributes to extending the lifespan of the water softener and reducing maintenance frequency. By investing in a pre-filter, you can enjoy the benefits of high-quality softened water for all your domestic needs.

These stainless steel sleeves ( sieves ) stand out due to their ingenious design, offering numerous remarkable advantages compared to traditional sleeves. Whether you choose simple stainless steel sieves or those with a silver layer, you can expect superior filtration performance and a long lifespan.

Key Advantages

  1. One of the most notable advantages of stainless steel sleeves lies in their exceptional stability. Thanks to a specific S-shaped weaving technique, these sieves present a solid structure that ensures consistent and reliable filtration. This unique design also allows for a considerably larger filtration surface, ranging from 530 to 1288 cm², depending on specifications.
  2. A key characteristic of these sleeves is their resistance to saturation. Compared to traditional sieves, they have an increased capacity to retain particles without quickly becoming saturated. This enhanced efficiency contributes to extending intervals between cleanings and ensuring continuous and effective filtration over a longer period.
  3. Furthermore, the cleaning process of these stainless steel sleeves is simplified and easier to carry out. Their design allows for easier access to retained particles, thus simplifying the maintenance process. These sieves are specially designed for frequent and repeated cleaning, which is essential to maintain optimal filtration performance.
  4. An additional advantage is the option to choose a bacteriostatic treatment with silver for the sieve. This option adds a layer of silver to the stainless steel sieve, which helps inhibit bacterial growth and maintain the microbiological cleanliness of the filtered water. This can be particularly beneficial in applications where hygiene is paramount.

How to Use This Stainless Steel Sleeve?

The assembly of these sleeves onto the cylindrical support, accompanied by the propeller and the lid, is done with an adhesive approved for food applications. This method ensures a perfect seal between raw water and filtered water, thereby eliminating the risks of cross-contamination.

It’s also worth noting that these sieves can be delivered in two different ways. You can choose to receive the components (cylindrical support, propeller, and lid) separately for a customized assembly, or opt for the delivery of the sleeve already assembled on the complete filter, ready to be integrated into your existing filtration system.

What to Remember About This New Cintropur Filter?

In summary, the filtration composed of stainless steel sleeves, with or without a silver layer, offers an advanced filtration solution that combines exceptional stability, a large filtration surface, reduced saturation, easy cleaning, and the possibility of bacteriostatic treatment. Whether for industrial, agricultural, or domestic applications, these sieves provide reliable and durable performance to meet your most demanding filtration needs.

Rainwater, which is natural and free, and well water, which is often abundant and local, are attracting a growing amount of interest from those wishing to opt for a more ecological and sustainable approach to their water supply.

However, the consumption of such water requires particular attention when it comes to quality and potability.

Wells : water resources to be used with care.

Wells are fundamental water sources, but their quality varies depending, for example, on geographical location and environmental conditions.

It is very important to understand that this water cannot automatically be considered potable. Some wells may be contaminated with pathogens and dangerous chemicals.

It is therefore essential to carry out a thorough laboratory analysis of this water. This will determine whether it complies with the potability water criteria and standards in force.

Every water source is unique, so it’s essential to work on a case-by-case basis.

For the interpretation of this water analysis, Airwatec is here to help ! We are a Belgian company, founder of the brand Cintropur, and specialized in water treatment solutions.

Thanks to our range of water filtration products, we have the solution you need to enjoy high-quality water from now on !

However, we strongly recommend that you perform this laboratory analysis regularly.

In fact, water that complies with standards at a given moment may later become non-compliant if changes occur.

Rainwater : a precious gift from nature.

Rainwater is a free resource, falling generously from the sky depending on the climate.

Collecting it offers many economic and environmental advantages.

It can easily be used for external household purposes (watering and gardening), floor cleaning and for flushing the toilets.

However, when it comes to using it for other purposes, it is essential to ensure its quality. Airwatec has made this its speciality.

Unlike wells, rainwater rarely needs a laboratory analysis.

In general, it is less subject to chemical contaminants. Nevertheless, it can be exposed to pollution from the roof, gutters or during its stay in the cistern.

That’s where 3 essential steps come into play. Filtering, treating and sterilizing this water will enable you to use it for many sanitary applications in the house (washing machines, dishwashers, baths, showers and washbasins)! We do not recommend using this water for cooking or as a hot or cold drink.)

Keeping your rainwater tank clean remains an important parameter. It will condition the quality of the stored water and the entire subsequent filtration and treatment process.

Cintropur’s TRIO-UV : the perfect combination for consumable water.

Cintropur offers a complete range of water filters and accessories, including the TRIO-UV, providing a triple treatment in a single device !

It begins with a filter screen that retains suspended particles, followed by activated carbon to remove odours, pesticides and herbicides, and to clarify the water. The final stage is a UVc sterilizer to eliminate undesirable micro-organisms present in the water.

After treatment with the TRIO-UV, this water will be considerably better quality for many sanitary applications in the home.

To conclude : let’s enjoy nature with care.

Rainwater and well water are precious natural resources that can be exploited with full knowledge of the facts, thanks to our water treatment solutions.

But it’s crucial to remember that every situation is unique, and that clear and transparent water is not necessarily consumable or potable.

Airwatec, along with its network of dealers, is always available to support and inform customers who want to understand and control their water quality. Feel free to contact us !

Don’t forget that every drop of water counts, so let’s make it a precious commodity for our health, our planet and our wallet !
